These customizable books are handmade from genuine top grain Italian leather. These books are made with only the highest quality materials with the intention of having each book last a lifetime. Each piece of leather is professionally tanned and worked to give the books a rustic look and feel and to give each book its own character.
The live edge gives this book character, but you may request to have your book made with a straight cut edge if you prefer the clean cut look. If you request a straight cut edge, the leather flap will fold over the cover about half way.
The external dimensions of this book are roughly 6" X 9" X 1" - 5.5" thick, depending on the number of pages chosen. The pages are 5.5" X 8.5" (usable space is 5" X 8.5" for cardstock and cardstock and clear page options due to 1/2" loss in binding). These books are made with a fixed number of pages and cannot be added to or have pages removed once the book is made.
These books are refillable and usually hold up to 20% more pages on top of the number each book is made to hold (although this is not recommended).
All leather books can be made a custom size and can be filled with different types of paper, although there are standard/recommended sizes and pages types depending on what the book is being used for.
Each book comes with a customizable text engraving. You can add a custom graphic or logo engraving, or a second text engraving to the cover of your book for an additional cost.
